Two major goals drove this small commercial interior remodel of an empty building shell into a chic wine tasting room. The first was a desire on the part of the project team (client, interior designer and builder) to make this one of the greenest tasting rooms in Santa Ynez Valley. The second was that a publicly advertised opening date had already been scheduled, so meeting this non flexible deadline was an absolute must. To meet his green dream, the owner hired an interior designer and builder that were well versed in green materials and systems. To meet the schedule, the team rose to the occasion, working long days and weekends over the last two weeks of the job. The final result: a happy client who was able to showcase the greenest wine tasting room in the Santa Ynez Valley during the fall harvest. (Interior Designer: Shannon Scott)
