Born in Santa Barbara, Ian knows just about everyone in town. With 30 years in building, Ian has done it all. He is now Vice President and Sales Director for the company and has supervised modest bath remodels to complex estate homes.

Ian has designed and built several residential projects in Santa Barbara, Mexico, Hawaii, New Zealand and Tahiti. He founded Allen Associates "Built to Ship" division, which features simple, attractive, environmentally sound vacation and second homes that are pre-constructed and shipped via container to overseas and/or rural destinations. Following Hurricane Katrina, Ian coordinated an effort to build a Creole-style "Built to Ship" unit and, working with volunteers from Habitat for Humanity and Crane Country Day School and donations from numerous local businesses, donated it to a family in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Ian is addicted to foreign travel, surfing, and his family - Anna and two sons, Brendan and Tristan.
