Jed Harpster, Associate

Production Manager
   
 

Finishing building projects on time and on budget are the key to happy clients. And having happy clients is vital to the success of our company. Jed Harpster is the perfect person to make sure that Allen Associates has happy clients AND the highest quality projects.

Jed has spent the last 12 years in the Santa Barbara building community. Even though his Stanford University education prepared him for a career in medicine and business management, his love of construction led him to a career with Allen Associates. Jed came to Allen Associates in 2005 and has built many high end, quality driven projects during his career with us. From historical renovations in the Montecito hedgerow to intimate guesthouses on San Ysidro lane, Jed has imparted his unique building style into each project.

Jed has a proven history as an excellent project supervisor, a quality craftsman, and a true people person. His experience has been in ground up construction, scheduling and overseeing trade contractors, interfacing with clients, architects, and vendors, reviewing bid packages, and effectively managing project budgets.

In 2008 Jed was promoted to Production Manager, and is now responsible for helping all of our Associates achieve the standards that he has incorporated into every project he has undertaken. As Production Manager, Jed oversees the estimating, scheduling and construction of all our projects. He is like a second set of eyes, helping our Associates make our projects that much better.

Jed spent his time at Stanford backpacking through the Sierra’s in the summers and managing the men’s basketball team. He is also the owner of our “unofficial” mascot, Kava, a chocolate Labrador, who loves spending time with the Allen Associates family.
